here comes the sun
The sun was actually out today! Which made the weather much more agreeable than last night. Today we woke up early and took a guided tour in our coach around central London. We saw quite a large part of the city’s landmarks (including some we had already seen) such as Hyde Park, Kensington Palace, Harrod’s, Royal Albert Hall, Buckingham Palace, St. Paul’s, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, The Globe, Tower Bridge, Tower of London, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, and I’m sure there’s plenty more I’m not remembering right now. We only got off the bus a few times though, and it was for short periods of time, so I’m going to have to go back to all of these at my leisure and spend some time at them.

After we finished our short bus tour, they dropped us off at Covent Gardens and everyone split up. Manuel, Kari, Rachel and I wandered around together, looked in a few stores, and watched some street performers before we grabbed a quick bite at Wellington’s and took the bus back to Northern London

I also decided that a Paul McCartney ad is cooler in the UK.
Tonight, there was a lot of relaxing, which is good because most people fell asleep on the bus during the ride home we were so exhausted. Manuel and I grabbed a few groceries at the corner store and a few hours later a big group of people from Wood Green went to a pub across the street where they were having karaoke night, and we ended up there for a few hours. There was quite a big of karaoke and dancing. Manuel and I sang a duet of Hey Jude and then I headed out not long after that because I am exhausted and tomorrow we have academic induction and the beginning of the semester blehhh. This was quite a picture heavy post, but that’s pretty much all there is to it.
