A Semester Abroad

The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.

My overnight flight to Heathrow didn’t have a vegetarian meal or I guess I didn’t special order one, so I drank nano Cokes to my heart’s content and watched Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 and attempted - and failed - to sleep. The flight didn’t feel that long, though, so it was better than I expected. I saw the crooked coast of the United States fade away and some hours later, saw the lights of the towns of southeast Ireland being, and in between was miles and miles of Atlantic, the kind of journey which Ben Gibbard named an entire album after.
